4. How does the HRM team deal with the consequences occurred due to brain drain
Human
resource management deals with the effective and efficient management of an
organization's employees. The human resource team implements HR plans in order
to achieve the organizational objective and all human resource functions must
link to each other and to the organization’s objective as well
Under
the topic ‘ Reasons and impacts of Brain Drain within the Healthcare
industry’, I have mentioned the consequences that the industry is currently
facing now due to the brain drain. Under the topic ‘How does the HRM team
deal with the consequences occurred due to brain drain’ , let's see how
these consequences can be overcome by critically evaluating the HR practices
As identified in surveys lots Sri Lankan intellectuals
migrate to foreign countries due to many reasons. Most of the intellectuals
have migrated due to inadequate salaries in Sri Lanka. Therefore they were
inspired to migrate overseas to earn more money. Moreover, lack of
job opportunities in the relevant fields, further education, acquiring better
living conditions, prevailing political instability, and ethnic conflict are
the other factors that affected the migration of the Sri Lankan intellectuals
(daily news,2010)
The
Sri Lankan health sector is largely hit by the brain drain. It Can be seen
shortages of nurses in Sri Lanka due to their migration. Annually Sri Lanka
produced a considerable amount of nurses, but lots of them are finding
employment abroad. Especially rural hospitals of Sri Lanka haven’t adequate
nurses. People in these areas face lots of difficulties due to the absence of
nurses and it directly affects public health facilities.
The
brain drain results in an unequal distribution of nurses and midwives around
the world, which weakens neglected health systems and, ultimately, affect the
quality of care provided to the patient
The
main 2 reasons associated with nurse's brain drain can be identified as
follows

A mismatch between
employee performance and pay.
Employees’ primary source of income is their salary, so it is vitally important to them. since most, all nurses work both day and night, a ‘Variable payment ‘method can be introduced to them other than the fixed-based salary, which means the amount of variable pay an employee receives depends on the performance and the objective reached. This form of remuneration aims to motivate and encourage the employee to be the best they can be

A mismatch between the
level of expectation set at the beginning of the employment
Training and
development in human resource management are educational and skill-building
activities intended to improve the knowledge and skills of employees. The role
of HR in training and development includes: Connecting with employees and
understanding their training needs. Designing effective training programs.
Motivating employees to participate in learning and development programs in
order to build up confidence in their job role and build the job
satisfaction

Actually In Now a days downfall of the health Sector due to brain drain, So, When government take necessary actions in order to prevent this Current Situation, It helps to build good Stable in the Country.

But within the health care sector, more reasons could be seen for the migration of doctors and nurses. If their HR duties and responsibilities are conducted to look at their necessities, it will assist in retaining them within the industry.

The aim of your paper is to review and explore the factors, impacts and strategies to improve the brain-drain phenomenon among healthcare workers. In my point of view, The factors that causes brain-drain include financial rewards, continuing rewards, career development, continuing education, hospital infrastructure, resource availability, hospital management, political issues, family issues, training, education and development.

Employees who are in the healthcare industry are paid a lower salary, have less opportunities for career development , face inequality, have a stressful work environment, etc. If they are working day and night on behalf of saving one's life, as a HR team, they have to prioritize employees' necessities to retain them within the industry.
